Our story
Born from one woman’s conviction that no widow should be forgotten
The foundation began the way many Nigerian community efforts begin — with a small offering, faithfully given, for neighbours nobody else was counting.
Mama Anointing Widows Mite & Orphan Foundation was established to answer a simple question asked in too many Nigerian communities: who cares for a woman after she buries her husband, and for the children left in her care?
What started as personal food gifts to a handful of widows grew into an organised programme of monthly relief, school support and skills training — carried by volunteers, church members and donors who kept showing up.
